[Character Name] Tot (Nanami Kyouno)
[Canon] Weiss Kreuz
[Point Taken from Canon] Ep. 21, right after Neu goes off with Weiss and Schreient drives off
[Age] 17.
[Gender] Female.
[Sexual Orientation] Hetero.
[Eye Color] Blue.
[Hair Color] Blue or green, depending on the episode. It's Weiss, just don't have expectations.
[Height]I hate this question Shorter than Nagi without her heels.
[Other] Carries a stuffed rabbit everywhere.
[Clothing] Frilly dresses with lots of ruffles and ribbons for every day wear. She is arriving in her battle outfit, which is: a pink midriff-and-cleavage baring top, a black vest, white buttoned choker, black miniskirt with a belt matching the choker, detached black sleeves, blue tights and black boots.
[Background] Tot’s a seventeen-year-old assassin/bodyguard with a mental age of three; sweet, cheerful, and totally willing to kill you with a parasol if you make her daddy mad.
While it's never expanded upon in series (Tot references it in passing, saying he was a 'bad man' and that she hates him), this is because she was raped by her father when she was 15. Apparently something of a daddy's girl beforehand, the assault triggered a psychotic break and Tot reverted to a mental age of three, when she felt safe and still loved her papa. She's rather broken as a result. She became one of Masafumi Takatori's "precious dolls" when he saved her from another assault.
The youngest member of Schreient, unlike the other three, she doesn't claim to be Masafumi's lover and instead calls him 'Papa.' Her behavior towards him is still devotional, obsessive, and curiously sexualized, once kissing him full on the mouth.
Schreient was created in the image of Schwarz, the bodyguards of Masafumi’s father. However, while Schwarz are wily and independent, Schreient is devoted wholly to Masafumi’s will. This led them into contact and conflict with the assassin team Weiss, when Weiss was assigned to kill Masafumi. To make a long story short, they succeeded, and it looked like Schreient was killed in the crossfire.
However, they were instead saved by Schwarz (at the very least, Tot was saved by Nagi), and swore revenge. Since Aya Fujimiya dealt the actual deathblow, Schreient kidnapped Aya’s sister.
Schreient tried to corner Weiss by planting Youji’s former lover into the ranks, and hoping Youji would lure/betray the team to Schreient. Tot's canon point is right after she, Hel, and Schoen drive off while Neu goes back with Weiss.
[Personality] In a word, cheerful. Tot is sweet, childish, and generally happy. Her emotions are generally strong and loud, and she is capable of ignoring darker aspects of the situation in favor of brighter ones, depending on the severity. However, she’s capable of seriousness, and also vengeful, loyal, and a bit of a romantic.
She’s also a tad mercurial, and can flip from one to another with alarming ease. She’s easily distracted, and somewhat unpredictable. She can listen to people talk about her ‘papa’ being dead and barely pay attention, yet when her friend’s death is mentioned she bursts into tears and runs out of the room. Granted, one was slightly more recent than the other…
One of Tot's quirks is that she carries around a stuffed bunny called 'Rabbi-chan.' It seems to be a sort of security blanket, as she hugs it when she's scared or upset. She speaks to it, and causes it to speak back to her. These talks indicate that she's capable of understanding her situation--she explains her feelings to him, hugs him and cries; it's overblown, but clear and self-aware.
Her morality is also black and white--but mostly black. Essentially, it's dictated by Masafumi; if he thinks it's right, it must be. By extension, if it negatively affects him or Schreient, it is Bad, and must be eliminated. This means 'killed until they are dead,' applying specifically to Weiss. She's rather single-minded about this, even a warning from the person she loves doesn't deter her from her goal of exacting revenge. Tot is very loyal to those she loves.
Even so, she's capable of seeing positive things in her enemies' actions. When Neu was injured to induce a member of Weiss to care for her, Tot, despite her teammates calling the man a fool, thought the gesture was kind of cool, and similar to how Nagi had rescued her before. This doesn't change them being enemies, however; she's still eager in the later plans to kill these guys.
In a lot of ways, she's really a child. Clues in the series indicate that her childhood was Not Happy, and she seems to be trying to make up for that. Even while her older teammates have serious discussions in the background, she plays with her bunny and the comatose hostage. This 'second childhood' isn't an infallible armor, however; she does give way to despair, wondering 'how much longer will we have to live like this?' in response to Masafumi still being an virtual corpse in a jar.
Finally, however—Tot is probably not very sane. This same cheer and giggles personality is on full display as she’s attempting to kill people. She seems to enjoy it, but whether that’s because she actually enjoys the act or it’s just because it’s what her surrogate father and family does and needs her to do is left up to audience.
[Specialties/Abilities] Basic, mid-range fighting skills. Her weapon is a parasol with a spike on the end.
She has a surface-layer understanding of how to conduct herself in a lab setting, run tests, care for test dummy animals, etc. She might have picked up some basic procedures, but nothing really worth reciting.
Some slight acrobatics, just to help with fighting.
[Affection] As some victims of sexual abuse are, she's very overly affectionate. If she likes you, hugs will probably be okay, but she may also wildly misinterpret.
[Fighting] Tot is a capable fighter, but not on the level of Weiss. She's better than most, but not at hero or villain levels. She'll only provoke fights with castmates, but she will absolutely jump into any melees. Attacking her is fine, if you don't mind getting stabbed with a parasol.
[Other Permissions] Nothing sexually suggestive around her, please, given her history. Mindreading is fine if you run it by me first, although if you're Schuldig I will likely assume it's happening anyway... No fourthwalling.
